June 19, 2012 7:00 pm

Three soccer teams are in a limbo as they fight for the last two spots available for the Battle of the Giants.

Fiji Football CEO Bob Kumar confirms that Nadroga, Navua and Tavua are fighting for the spots.

He says Nadroga has a protest pending, the outcome of which may have bearing on Tavua’s points as well.

Savusavu is definitely not playing the BOG this year.

Meanwhile Nadroga which sits second last has had a last minute scare.

The team with two matches this weekend has been hit by a chickenpox scare.

President Dhiren Lal says he is hoping for a quick recovery.

“Some of the boys are down with chicken pox and we’ll reassess how many players turn up this afternoon and take things from there. Krishneel Dutt has been red carded so he will not be with the team for the first game and resume on Sunday.”

Nadroga takes on Nadi at 7pm at Lawaqa Park on Thursday and then Labasa at 3pm on Sunday.

Lal says he’s hoping the home advantage will change their luck.

In other matches, on Saturday Nadi takes on Labasa, while Suva plays Savusavu.

On Sunday, it’s a busy day with Nadroga hosting Labasa, Lautoka playing Savusavu, Navua going head on with Suva and Rewa taking on Ba.
