For the first time basketball Fiji has introduced the three on three match for junior grades at Yat Sen Secondary School today.

Basketball Fiji High-Performance Manager, Thomas Acoster, says this competition is part of their development work in which it enables the junior grades to perform better in international competition.

“Basketball Fiji is working with the youth now as FIBA is pushing for under 15’s to have competitions more and we are trying to get all of the young ones especially kids from 7 to 14 to come up and play and we introducing 3 on 3 for its development.”

Meanwhile, Basketball Fiji has selected its extended Under-15 training squad to compete in the FIBA Oceania championship in December.
