Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou has hailed the performance of the team in the opening World Cup match in England.

Tuitubou says if the team’s performance is a step-up from the last World Cup outing in 2011 and wished the players all the best ahead of the clash against Australia on Thursday.

“We still have hope for them to have a good against the Wallabies. Judging from what I have seen from public is that they are all behind the team.”

The Government allocated $500,000 to assist the Flying Fijians preparation for the World Cup.
