Test match good build-up for Flying Fijians

November 13, 2014 5:53 pm

The Vodafone Flying Fijians test match against Wales this weekend will allow Coach John McKee and his players to acclimatize to their surroundings prior to the Rugby World Cup next year.

Fiji will play Wales and Australia in pool play at the world event in September and McKee says the players have enjoyed the opportunity to find their bearings but it will take nothing away from the must-win clash against the Dragons on Sunday.

“It’s very interesting for us to be here less than 12 months from the World Cup. It’s not just around the Millennium Stadium but also our arrangements and other off-field stuff here in Wales. It’s a really important week for us on two fronts, but Cardiff and Wales; one of the great oppositions in rugby and the Millennium Stadium, probably one of the world’s greatest rugby stadiums, so that’s fantastic.”
