Teams start arriving for OCL

Teams have started arriving into the country for the Fiji Airways Oceania Champions League football competition, which gets underway on Saturday in Suva and Ba respectively.

Western United from the Solomon Islands was the first team to arrive on the weekend, while Gaitcha from New Caledonia came in yesterday.

Today sees the arrival of Vanuatu clubs, Tafea and Amicale, while Samoa’s Lupe Ole Soaga and Hekari United from Papua New Guinea, also jet in.

Tahitian teams AS Pirae and AS Tefana are in tomorrow, while New Zealand clubs, Auckland City and Team Wellington jet in on Thursday.

The tournament starts on Saturday, with Vodafone Suva meeting Auckland City at 4.30pm at the ANZ Stadium in the capital, following which will see Western United battle Amicale at 7pm.

In Ba on the same day, Pirae meets Lupe Ole Soaga at 4.30pm and Ba plays Gaitcha at 7pm.
