Teams disallowed from postponing games

Local Premier Football teams will not be allowed to postpone games unless five or more players leave for the national side in any international meet.
This was stressed to all local football coaches and management present at the Fiji Football Association 80th Ordinary Meeting at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa today.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel says a team will be able to postpone a local match if five players depart for international duty – but not if it’s four or less.
“You’ve registered 35 to 40 players and whenever the national team is called all the teams with four players or less still wants their postponement, this won’t be allowed.”
Patel adds this allows young players to step in to fill in their shoes in the team.
