Defending champions Team Wellington is determined of replicating its triumphant campaign from last year in this year’s OFC Champions League in Vanuatu.

Team Wellington leads Pool C alongside Ba, Erakor Golden Star and Kiwi FC.

Coach Jose Figuera says the players are excited and they are eager to defend the title.

He says they are keen to keep a lid on expectations by insisting his side to stick to the basics.

“Yeah, naturally, we are defending the title, of course we have to take things one step at the time and one game at the time, like we did last year.”

Team Wellington will begin its campaign against Ba at 3 pm tomorrow.
