Team qualify for Bayleys Coral Coast 7s

Eight teams have qualified for the 2014 Bayleys Coral Coast 7s later this month.

Wardens Gold, Red Rock, Police and Tovolea, Tokatoka Westfield and Western Surburb have made the cut after reaching the quarterfinal stages of the Great Eight sevens at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

The tournament serves as a qualifier for the annual Coral Coast 7s competition.

Wardens Gold, with the services of national rep Niko Verekauta defeated First Landing 26-7 in the elimination round this morning.

Red Rock beat Drua Army Nadi 10-5, Police thumped Ravuka Sharks 31-0 and Tovolea defeated New Born Waibasaga 19-0.

Tokatoka Westfield edged Suva Stallions 12-5 while Western Suburbs beat Coastal Sigatoka Bulls 19-17.

Uluinakau Babas lost to Wardens Green 19-7.

The quarterfinals will begin later this afternoon.

Wardens Gold meets Red Rock, Police will clash with Tovolea, Tokatoka Red takes on Western Suburbs while Tabadamu faces Wardens Green.
