Team needs to work on discipline-Qera

July 30, 2015 6:21 pm

Vodafone Flying Fijians captain Akapusi Qera says they will need to work hard on their discipline before the final of the Pacific Nations Cup against Samoa on Tuesday.

This after two players copped yellow cards in the 27-22 win against Japan yesterday.

Fiji lost Leone Nakarawa and Campese Ma’afu to the sin bin and had to end the match with 13 players.

Qera says there were a lot of lessons learnt from the match.

“In the first half we started off well. In the second half, a few disciplinary issues cost us two yellow cards. The boys dug in and we managed to come out with a win, which is the most important thing. We will go back and view that game moving forward.”

The final will be played 12.30pm on Tuesday. In other matches, Tonga meets Japan in the third and four place play-offs, while USA and Canada meet in the fifth place match.
