Team Fiji is now in 5th place after Day 5 of the 16th Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.

Fiji now has 12 gold,12 silver and 15 bronze medals.

This is after the swimming finals where Fiji won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Matelita Buadrmo won a bronze in women’s 100 meters Freestyle and she settled for Buadromo silver in the 200 meters Individual Medley.

Fiji also won a silver medal in the Mixed 4×50 meters freestyle relay and Taichi Vakasama grabbed a bronze in the men’s 200 meters Individual Medley.

Meanwhile, New Caledonia is still at the top of the medal tally with 26 gold, 20 silver and 15 bronze.

Host Samoa is now in second with 17 gold, 8 silver and 16 bronze.

Tahiti remains in third place with 14 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze.

Australia has come into fourth with 13 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals.
