Te Nana anticipates an intense battle between Fiji and NZ

Former New Zealand player and World Rugby Sevens Series commentator, Karl Te Nana believes the semifinal showdown between Fiji and the All Blacks will be intense.

Te Nana says, with the crowd support in Hamilton, the Fijians will come out firing against their opponents.

“It doesn’t matter how Fiji going or tracking they play their best and save their best for New Zealand. I mean the support they got, it has been huge over the weekend. They going to be on fire and if they get off loads away it will be very difficult for New Zealand.”

Te Nana has picked New Zealand play maker Vilimoni Koroi to be the man to watch in the semifinal.

“Vilimoni Koroi is been outstanding for them for all weekend. He is turning into a premier ball player, number nine for the New Zealand team. I think he is the key for this New Zealand side.”

Fiji plays New Zealand in the first semifinal at 3.49pm and South Africa faces Australia in the other semis at 4.11pm.

The final is scheduled for 7.03pm.
