Tavua to maintain winning form

July 8, 2012 7:02 pm

Tavua soccer coach, Emmanuel Manu says despite not being with his team yesterday, they produced the goods to upset Rewa 3-0 at home.

Manu says despite the loss of key players due to district transfers, the win against the Delta Tigers in the Fiji Sun/ GP Batteries National Football league spoke volumes.

“They played well and I was happy with my players, Samulea Nabenia and Saula Matarai because they are Under 21. Rewa is a good team, a champion side, they had all their players and played very well. I guess they beat us 2-0 before and we got our revenge by beating them one goal up.”

Tavua will remain focused on winning more league games as they did not qualify to play in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants later this month.
