Tavua Football Association is calling on the Fiji Football Association to investigate an alleged forgery involving a player’s transfer.

Tavua acting president Mohammed Rizwan says Samuela Nabenia has no reasons to leave Tavua, yet his transfer application to Tailevu Naitasiri was made.

Rizwan alleges this is a very serious matter and highly suspicious.

“He is a school student at Ba Sangam. He is in the sixth form. It is very funny that he would ask for a transfer. This is something very serious and we want Fiji Football to look into it.”

Fiji FA says they will look into the Nabenia issue but claim nothing was wrong with the transfer to Tailevu Naitasiri.

Tavua Football will also be taking the matter to the police, saying forgery will not be tolerated.
