July 29, 2018 12:34 am

Good news for Suva fans as defenders Remueru Takiate and Waisake Navunigasau have been cleared to play in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants final against Ba today.

Takiate was substituted after sustaining an ankle injury while Navunigasau was replaced after getting a knock in the knee in the semifinal against Labasa yesterday.
Suva goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau says they are ready for the final against Ba.

“The boys came with the game plan and that is to win we stuck to the game plan even though two of our senior players went down injured but hats off to the boys for the good performance today.”

Suva qualified to the final after beating Labasa one nil in a semifinal while Ba thumped Nadi 4-nil in the second semifinal.
The last time these two teams played in the BOG final was in 2006 when the Men in Black defeated Suva 2-1.

It’s been five years since Ba last won the title while Suva’s last victory was in 1995. Meanwhile, in the RC Manubhai/Apco Coating veteran final, Nadi will face Tavua at 2pm.
