Banuve Tabakaucoro has finished first in his 100 meters heat at the 15th IAAF World Championships in China.

The win takes Banuve though to the next round.

This was the second best time recorded in the heats behind Oman’s Barakat Mubarak who finished his race with a time of 10.31 seconds.

He is using this event to qualify for next year’s Rio Olympics in Brazil.
