Tabakaucoro to run in heat one at World Champs

Banuve Tabakaucoro will run in heat one of the 100 metres preliminary rounds at the World Athletics Championships in China tomorrow.

Tabakaucoro is using the event to try and qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.

He has the fastest time amongst those grouped with him in the heat.

Tabakuacoro holds the Pacific record of 10.22 seconds and needs to clock 10.16 seconds to hit the Rio Olympics qualification.

The 100m will be run at 4.20pm (Fiji time).
