Tabakaucoro to return to the tracks

Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro is expected to make a comeback on the track in the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

Tabakaucoro is one of the two-hundred and twenty-eight athletes who were selected by Athletics Fiji to prepare for the games.

The 25-year old made a switch to rugby last year and was part of the national 7s side at the Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu last year.

Tabakaucoro will be one of Fiji’s medal prospect at the games.

Athletics Fiji President Joe Rodan says 117 men and 111 women were selected according to the qualifications that meets their criteria.

The Pacific Game will be held on the 7th to the 20th of July next year in Samoa.
