Tabakaucoro qualifies for semis

Fiji’s top athletes show improvement at the commonwealth games last night.

This was after Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro and Younis Bese both came second in their 200 metres heats.

Tabakaucoro recorded a time of 21.04 seconds while Bese recorded a time of 24.72 seconds.

The Bauan lad will be running in the semifinal tonight.

And in Lawn Bowling, Fiji’s Samuela Tuikiligana lost to Canada with 21-19 in round 4 of the Men’s singles.

In the round 4 of women’s pairs, Fiji lost to New Zealand with 16-9.

In the quarterfinals of the women’s triple event, Fiji lost to Australia 25-8.
