Swimmers ready for Oceania championship

15-year-old Jane Smith says competing in the Oceania Swimming Championship will be a good learning curve for everyone in the team.

Smith who is part of the Oka swimming club will compete in the championship for the first time.

Smith says she is not expecting much, but she aims to improve on her personal best times.

“I’m pretty nervous to be competing but I think it’s a good opportunity for me to push myself and see how far I can go to better my times and improve on my recent times.”

Meanwhile, a total of 22 swimmers will represent Fiji in the championship which is scheduled from the 25th to the 30th of this month in Papua New Guinea.
