Suva's defence pulls through

Good defence by Suva made the difference to beat Lautoka 2-1 in the third Vodafone Fiji FACT match of the day at Govind Park in Ba.

Opening the score account for Suva was Joseph Mishra in the first spell while Valerio Nawatu levelled the score for the Lautoka side.

Suva later pulled one back to take the victory.

FBC News manager, Indra Singh says Lautoka fans had reason to worry in the for losing the match when national goalkeeper, Simione Tamanisau was kept on the bench.

Suva, Nadi and Lautoka will battle for a spot in the semi-finals following today’s results.

It’s a do or die situation for Lautoka while Nadi is still in a good position as things seem easier for Suva who will be up against Savusavu next.

Labasa will have a point to prove against Ba in the last match tonight.
