Suva Stallion gunning for a good outing

The Suva Stallions are aiming to come out the best in the cricket National Championship Tournament and players are already eyeing a place in the national side.

One of their key star players Viliamae Yabaki is also vying for a place in the 2018 ICC World Twenty20 East Asia Pacific Sub Regional Qualifier in August.

Yabaki says going up against other teams vying for the same spot will be difficult but he has come prepared.

“I think we’ve been preparing very well for the tournament and players are coming in from Nadi, we have been preparing as well in Suva and we have be joining the national squad camp for the last three week.”

The Suva Stallions is taking part in the competition together with the selected national team, the Mighty Sharks and Stingrays.

Meanwhile, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Vanuatu will be part of the qualifiers which will be held from the 25th to 30th of August at Albert Park.
