Suva soccer ready for Lautoka FACT match

May 15, 2012 1:03 am

The Suva soccer team is armed and ready to take on Lautoka in their third FACT match this year.

Association President, Mahen Prasad says the only major task he’s facing at the moment is securing leave from work for midfielder, Cedrick Dutt and Nitan Kumar.

“As the game against Lautoka comes, they are strong team and have defeated us once this year. We have told the boys it is a final against Lautoka and it is a must win. The players are geared up and they know the task is to beat them.”

Prasad says they will feel a lot more at ease once national squad member, Samuela Vula is released from camp to join them on Friday.

Key players expected to boost Suva against Lautoka is goalkeeper, Emori Ragata, verteran Inosi Cava, Simione Maikali and Joshua Wilson.

He says they are also expected some sparks from Solomon Islands duo, Luke Ha Atera and Ralph Serwin.

The FACT resumes on Friday – games to be played will be between Navua and Tavua at 1.30pm, Nadi versus Savusavu at 3pm.

Suva takes on Lautoka at 4.30pm, Ba is up against Labasa at 7pm and Rewa plays against Nadi at 8.15pm.
