The Suva Rugby Union has received a major boost to their Escott Shield Competition after RC Manubhai sponsored $10,000 to this year’s competition.

Suva Rugby Union Acting Chairman, Timoci Nakaruru says this sponsorship will help them in financing their operations in their senior team.

He says this will also assist them in giving out price money and will have motivating factor behind the competition itself.

There are 34 teams battling in this competition.

Meanwhile, Navy is the defending champion of the Escott Shield Competition.
