Suva qualifies first for Champions league

Suva’s long wait to win a major football title ended on Sunday when they beat Ba 1-0 to win the 2012 Vodafone Fiji FACT.

The victory has now set high standards for the season and association president, Mahen Prasad says once celebrations are completed on Saturday it will be back to the hard yards.

“All the boys this will be the last week for the party, we will finish with celebrations on Saturday after that we will start training n Monday and definitely we are going for the league. I have already told the boys that whatever comes with the $15,00 will be shared with the players.*

The trophy rests with Suva for another year and together with that the side becomes the first team to qualify for the 2013 Champions League.

With celebrations planned for Saturday, Suva flags continue to fly high and with it the tag of being the FACT champs and now that is a FACT no one can dispute.
