Suva soccer president, Mahen Prasad says their 3-nil win over Nadroga yesterday was a sign of sweet victory without experienced coach, Gurjit Singh.
Singh returns to Fiji this week and will join the team on Tuesday to help prepare the team for the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.
“It was a great win against Nadroga and serves as the right platform towards the BOG, Nadroga was a youthful side, with a few experienced players. It was a good team they should contain these players. A few more games given to Nadroga and they will be a very strong side.”
Suva is pooled with Navua, Nadi and Lautoka while Pool One for the BOG features Rewa, Ba, Nadroga and Labasa.
In other league results yesterday, Navua and Nadi drew nil-all and Ba beat Savusavu 3-nil.
