Suva football ropes in Ali as interim coach

Suva has roped in the services of former Fiji Football Association development officer, Riaz Ali as its interim coach for the new season.

Ali takes the in-charge of the team and will coach the side until Suva gets a full time mentor.

Ali says he is ready to take up the huge responsibility ahead of the Vodafone Premier League season opener against Rewa in the weekend.

“We want to play possession soccer and keeping the possession and creating the opportunities. I know Suva has been changing coaches but I’m here have been given a chance let see how it goes.”

Suva faces Rewa, 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Sunday.

In the other games at the same time, Nadi plays Ba at Prince Charles Park and Lautoka takes on Tavua at Churchill Park.
