The Suva football side is taking preparations seriously as they prepare for next month’s Pacific Cup in New Zealand.

Suva has been training for a week now under the guidance of Coach Gurjit Singh.

A major setback for the capital city side is that they are training without five of their key players who are in the national squad.

Captain Jale Dreloa,stoppers Emori Ragata and Tevita Koroi, Maciu Dunadamu and defender Antonio Tuivuna will join the whites just days before leaving for New Zealand.

President Mahendra Prasad says they will take this tournament as a build up for next year’s OFC Champions League.

The Pacific Cup will be played from the 18th to the 22nd of next month.
