The Suva football side is not having the best of preparations for next week’s Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.
Coach, Gurjeet Singh says the majority of the senior players have not been turning up to training causing a major setback.
“Preparations are not going on so well. Actually I would say we are not prepared for this tournament. Looking at the turnout at training, very less number has turned up for training. Let’s just see how the players work out in the first game against Nadi.”
Suva has seven players in the Fiji Under 23 team that travelled to Papua New Guinea but only one, Sakaraia Naisaua turned up for today’s training session.
Meanwhile the BOG gets underway on Friday week in Nausori, with Tailevu Naitasiri meeting Lautoka at 1pm, followed by the Suva-Nadi clash at 3pm.
Labasa and Nadroga meet at 5.30pm, followed by the match between Rewa and Ba at 7.30pm.
