Newline Chemical Suva has won Sangam Convention football tournament beating Nadi 2-1 in extra time tonight in Suva.

Suva district rep Shahil Dave scored the winner in the second spell of extra time after both teams were tied 1-1 at full-time.

Suva had scored through Navneel Naciker, while Nadi’s goal came from Shivneel Rao.

This is the second year in a row that Suva has won the title.

Meanwhile, Valley Sangam won the senior grade with a 4-2 win over Nasinu.

The premier final was won by Saweni beating Rakiraki 3-0 and Sydney won the veterans title beating Nadroga 6-5 on penalties.
