Stage set for OFC Futsal

The stage is set for the OFC Futsal Championship, which gets underway at the Vodafone Arena in Suva next week.

Fiji Football Association CEO, Bob Kumar says the Fiji Futsal side, officials and the entire football fraternity is excited to host teams from the Oceania region during the week-long competition.

“Six countries including Fiji that are taking part, have got their registrations done, which have been sent to OFC. The teams have already made their bookings. We are anxiously waiting to meet them, pick them up from the airport and get the ball rolling from there.”

Fiji will compete against New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tahiti and Solomon Islands with the winner to qualify for the Futsal World Cup.

Fiji’s first match is against New Caledonia at 3pm next Monday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
