The forty year old National Stadium will be undergoing major upgrading works from this week.

Mazey adds that some of the highlight features of the stadium will be a new electronic scoreboard, bigger light towers as well as big screens to show the events taking place.

The new stadium complex will also have a sitting capacity of 25,000 people, including new seats on the embankment.

The grass for the grounds will be imported from New Zealand.
