Legendary first-five Carlos Spencer who guided the Auckland Blues to their last Super Rugby triumph in 2003 is back.

Spencer will be part of the Blues as a guest player in this weekend’s Brisbane Global rugby tournament.

He says although he returns fit to the game, there will be challenges to face in the sport.

“The biggest challenge is going to be the physical side of the game which means taking contact again which I have never locked anyway.”

The Blues meets Queensland Reds in its first match on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fiji Tuwawa meets Brumbies at 7.09pm tomorrow and then faces Hurricanes at 11.01pm.
