Speight try lifts Brumbies

Henry Speight scored a try to help the Brumbies end their two-match losing streak, beating the Highlanders 31-18 last night in Super Rugby.

The fleet-footed speedster dotted down in the 5th minute of the match to set the tone for the Brumbies.

Former Wallabies captain, David Pocock scored a hat-trick of tries for the Brumbies in the bonus point victory.

Brumbies flyer, Tevita Kuridrani made his return from a six-week stint on the sideline with injury to return to his usual centre position.

The Highlanders chose to rest their All Blacks players, Ben Smith, Malakai Fekitoa and Aaron Smith.

In the other match last night, the Chiefs extended their winning streak to four matches after defeating Western Force 35-27.

The Force on the other hand find themselves on a tough road this season, succumbing to their ninth loss this year.

Tonight, the Crusaders face the Blues and the New South Wales Waratahs face the Melbourne Rebels.
