Spain 7' enjoying stint in Fiji

February 18, 2016 6:10 pm

The Spain 7s side is enjoying its training stint in Fiji before hitting the Mecca of 7s.

The team is into its tenth day on Fiji soil, absorbing as much skills and knowledge before competing in the Hong Kong 7s in April, where the side will try to qualify for the Rio Olympics.

“We train much earlier here, we wake up at about six in the morning, which we don’t do in Spain. But training is very good, we have the sea. We have some local teams which we also don’t have in Spain to train with. We also have games with the Fiji side and the Uprising Beach Resort team. Everything is very good here, people are very kind; they’re very helpful with everything like the facilities and the gym and we give credit to Uprising Resort.”
