World Rugby Sevens Series title holders, South Africa 7s side is anticipating a tough competition in the Las Vegas tournament this weekend.

The Blitzboke is also the defending champions of the Las Vegas 7s, where they defeated Fiji 19-12 in the cup final last year.

South Africa 7s veteran Kyle Brown says the new players part of the side are expected to lift their performance this weekend.

“We know the intensity of the circuit that brings upon every year and it’s getting more and more physical so the only thing we can do for that is to prepare some the younger guys and make sure they really step into the shoes when needed.”

South Africa is pooled with England, Canada and Wales.
