South Africa Sevens Coach Neil Powell is confident that they will be a very competitive team at the Rugby World Cup Sevens if they just “play to their strengths and within their game plan.

South Africa has never won the Melrose Cup and is the top-seeded team for the World Cup plus all 12 players in the squad were involved in the last World Series, which the Blitzboks defended successfully.

Meanwhile, Fiji 7s side will play the winner of Japan versus Uruguay in its first game at 3.53pm on Saturday.
