Skipper Cup competition heats up

Defending champions Nadroga will face Namosi in round five of the Skipper Cup at 3pm at Thompson Park on Saturday.

Both teams have 15 points on the table after winning three out of four matches.

In the other matches at 3pm on Saturday, Lautoka hosts Suva, Northland faces Tailevu at Gatward Park, Vatukoula meets Macuata at Theodore Park and Tavua battles it out against Natasiri at Garvey Park.

Suva leads the Skipper Cup with 18 points after 4 rounds.

Skipper Cup competition heats up

Competition heats up in the Skipper Cup competition this weekend as teams try and secure a spot in the semi-final.

With only two rounds of round robin combination remaining, Nadi, Nadroga, Suva and Namosi look good to make it to the final four but will face tough competition from Naitasiri and Lautoka.

After 9 rounds Nadi lead the points table with 38 points while Suva is second with 37 points.

Nadroga lie third with 33 points as Namosi is fourth with 31 points.

Lautoka is in fifth position with 25 points while Naitasiri, who have a match in hand, are on 24 points.

In matches this weekend, Naitasiri plays Macuata, Lautoka takes on Vatukoula, Suva battles Nadi, Ovalau takes on Nadroga, Tailevu plays Tavua while Northland will host Namosi.
