Singh laments missed opportunities

October 10, 2015 12:50 am

Suva football coach, Gurjit Singh has stressed to his players to give their all in the Courts Inter District Championship semi-final clash against Ba this evening.

Singh lamented the team not being able to convert many goal-scoring opportunities during the pool stages but was a relieved man after the side beat Nadi 3-0 to progress to the final four.

“Though we lost to Lautoka 2-0, but we had a lot of chances, we should have scored and the result would have been different against Lautoka. And the last game against Nadi, we scored some beautiful goals; so that’s what we need; we need to score goals. We do create chances but scoring is a major problem and if we do the right thing, then we should come out winners.”
