14 year old weightlifter Daniel Shaw aims to better his personal best at the Pacific Games.

Shaw who is the youngest member of Weightlifting Fiji squad to the games is confident of a good outing in Samoa next month.

“At the moment there are two lifts on is called a clean and jerk and the other a Snatch, at the moment I am clean and jerking 65 kg and snatching 50 kg, my aim in Samoa is to better my PB”

The youngster was introduced to the sport by his parents and weightlifting coaches Della Shaw and Henry Elder.

Shaw adds his long term goal is to win an Olympic medal for Fiji.
