The rebuilding job of Sharks coach Shane Flanagan appears set to earn him a contract extension.

According to NRL.com, a new two or potentially even three year extension is being finalised between Cronulla and Flanagan’s manager Wayne Beavis.

Meanwhile, in the preliminary semi-finals Melbourne Storm plays Sharks at 9.40pm on Friday while Roosters faces Rabbitohs at the same time on Saturday.
