The USA 7s side has progressed to its fifth consecutive cup final after beating New Zealand 24-19 in the semifinal at the Las Vegas 7s.

The defending champions will face Samoa who thumped Argentina 33-19 in the second semi-final.

Carlin Isles scored two tries while Folau Niua got a try for the USA side.

USA 7s tough forward Ben Pinkelman says they played to their game plan and were focused against a strong All Blacks 7s outfit.
“We played our hearts out. We were really quick with our game during the tough phases. Our defense was strong too although it was scrappy at times but we followed our game plan.”
In the second semi-final, the Samoa 7s side was unstoppable running in five tries to qualify for the cup final.
