The South Africa 7s team’s hope of winning its first Hong Kong title has been cut short by USA after losing its quarterfinal 21-12.
The Neil Powell coached side scored the first try of the match to take an early 7-0 lead.
However, USA’s consistency persisted in the tournament winning a turnover and punishing the Blitzbok with a try from Carlin Isles to equal the score.
The Eagles continued to show its dominance in the match scoring another try right at the half time break to maintain its lead 14-0.
