April 7, 2019 2:00 pm

The Samoa 7s side hopes to end its nine-year drought in Hong Kong.

Player Alamanda Motuga says England provided them with a tough match in the cup quarter-final and progressing in the final is a positive sign for them.

“It means a lot to us especially our family back home and this is for them for always sticking with us through tough and good times.”

Samoa last won the Hong Kong title in 2010.

Samoa meets France in the second semi-final tonight.
