Fiji Airways Men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says the attitude players bring into their game will determine their overall performance next weekend.
Baber says it is important that players go into the tournament with the right attitude and mindset.
He adds players should not allow their off the field issues affect their performance on the field.
“We often talk about the way that you train is the way that you’ll obviously play. If you come with that attitude in the training environment which doesn’t have that focus that’s come somewhere else maybe off the training field and they need to deal with that every day to make sure you’re getting the best out of yourself every day.”
Fiji meets Kenya at 11.37pm next Friday in its opening pool match, they will then play Australia at 5.13pm Saturday before taking on New Zealand at 8.55pm.
The cup quarterfinals start at 2.58pm on Sunday, cup semi-final begins at 7.41pm and the cup final kicks off at 11pm on Sunday.
You can watch the entire tournament live on FBC TV.
