The Fiji Airways men’s 7s extended squad resumed training today after the last leg of the World 7s Series in Hamilton and Sydney tournaments.

Coach Gareth Baber says the injury sustained by players in Sydney prevented them from going all the way.

Baber says the players are now injury-free and are ready to go full out on their training.

“All those players are now back into full training having had a recovery and obviously some medical treatment during that period. So we’re in a position now obviously as we get into our training this week that everybody is healthy as I said those injury that was sustained in Sydney are no longer with us. There’s still a little bump but nothing major is gonna keep a player out at this stage.”

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Wales, Australia, and Scotland in the Las Vegas 7s next month.
