The New Zealand 7s team qualified to the Cup quarter-final of the Sydney tournament as the top contenders from its pool.

The side thumped Scotland 42-nil in the last pool match.

Scott Gregory who scored a brace of tries in the match says they just need to be focused for the elimination matches tomorrow.

“I think just ourselves so going away and really nailing our own roles. I think that’s the biggest part of rugby as we need to execute our own mentality so that will be our focused.”

The Fijian players, Jo Ravouvou, Vilimoni Koroi and Jona Nareki displayed an outstanding performance in the pool matches.

The New Zealand 7s side earlier defeated Spain 41-nil and beat Wales 27-14 in its first pool match.
