NZ starts Singapore 7s campaign on a high

The New Zealand 7s side made a winning start in its pool match at the Singapore 7s this afternoon toppling Japan 43-nil in its first game.

The Kiwis scored four tries in the first half to lead Japan 26-nil at the breather.

Three more tries from the Clark Laidlaw side in the second spell of the game sealed the victory.

Meanwhile, in other much awaited match – Fiji takes on Canada in its first pool match at 4.36pm, they will meet Scotland at 8.20pm in its second pool match and take on South Africa at 11.28pm in its final pool game.
