Fiji has suffered a major setback in their quest to win the Las Vegas 7s title.

This comes after star playmaker Waisea Nacuqu suffered an injury during their 26 – 15 loss to Australia in their last pool match.

Nacuqu had to be ushered off the field in the first half after a crunching tackle from Australia’s young forward Jarel Skelton.

The extent of Nacuqu’s injury is still unknown and if ruled out, Sevuloni Moceinacagi is highly likely to play in the cup quarterfinal against New Zealand.

Fiji will meet New Zealand in the first Cup quarterfinals at 1.46pm.
