Aminiasi Tuimaba and Waisea Nacuqu are a bit sick.

Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says players have settled in well in Australia as they prepare for the Sydney 7s this weekend.

Baber says Waisea Nacuqu and Aminiasi Tuimaba are a bit sick and they are doing light training with the squad.

He says he is looking at other options if their situation gets worse.

“The boys are a bit sick and they picked it up through fatigue. They trained with us today with light duties and they’ll pick up in the next couple of days and if something is wrong to one of them then obviously I will make a call on bringing a 13th player in or 14th player but we’re ok there’s no major injuries.”

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Samoa, England and Japan in the Sydney 7s.

The Fiji 7s side begins its campaign against Japan at 12.34pm this Saturday, then faces England at 6.02pm and plays Samoa in its final pool match at 10.07pm.

The Cup quarter-final kicks off at 1.16pm on Sunday, semi-final at 5.16pm while the cup final is scheduled for 9.54pm.
