Fiji Airways men’s 7s robust forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi will have to miss three matches in the Las Vegas tournament this weekend.
This is after the lanky player was shown a red card for his dangerous tackle against New Zealand in the Sydney 7s earlier this month.
Mocenacagi will miss the cut into the 13-member squad for the US tournament due to his suspension.
Meanwhile, Alosio Naduva has joined the team after receiving his visa on Saturday while Asaeli Tuivoka will leave tomorrow for the Las Vegas 7s.
Fiji kicks off its campaign against Scotland at 11.22am on Saturday, meets Wales at 2.23pm before playing Australia at 7.52am on Sunday in its last pool match.
The Cup quarters begin at 1.46pm on Sunday, semis at 9.12am next Monday and the Cup final will be played at 12.30pm.
